A morning in Baarn.

Yesterday morning Jopie took me to the center of her town, Baarn. Lovely little flowershop!! It seems that I am not the only ones who likes gnomes. We had coffee at this cute little cafe and look at the size of the water glass. Hilarious!!!

End of 2nd day in holland.

We were in this stunningly fairy tale of a town called Laren today for their end of the school year Kermis or carnival. The weather was so nice that we sat out on the terrace and had a few great beers and a lively dinner. The lids went on the rides of course. The funniest one was the blow up balls with the kids inside. Crazy!!!

First day in Holland.

I have now been in holland for two days and I am having a blast!!! Jopie left me a beautiful bouquet in my room and a bottle of hello kitty perfume!!! What could be better!!!

We had a BBQ that night with some of their friends who had spent time in Portland. The weather is fantastic!!!

Great day!!!!

Had a wonderful lunch at The Observatory. Delightful!!! Then a little time at Hughes Water Gardens. I needed some fairy moss and a waterlilly....but which one?????

It finally bloomed!!!

I love this purple bletilla - hardy orchid. I have been waiting for this!!! I also have a few soft yellow and a few white plants on the verge of blooming!!! So striking with the Frances Williams hosta and the little honey hydrangea.
