Great day!!!!

Had a wonderful lunch at The Observatory. Delightful!!! Then a little time at Hughes Water Gardens. I needed some fairy moss and a waterlilly....but which one?????

It finally bloomed!!!

I love this purple bletilla - hardy orchid. I have been waiting for this!!! I also have a few soft yellow and a few white plants on the verge of blooming!!! So striking with the Frances Williams hosta and the little honey hydrangea.

I have been going into the garden every morning and this particular morning was a real treat! The first two photos are of my Spicata poppy - the most lovely shade of orange - tangerine-ish. The dew that collected on the tip of each leaf node blew me away..........then there was the Patty's Plum poppy backlit by the morning sun...so cool!

It is beautiful in PDX today.....have a great weekend!

THIS WAS TAKEN OVER THE LAST FEW DAYS IN MY GARDEN. I AM KIND OF OBSESSED WITH PATTY'S PLUM POPPY LATELY. IN FACT, I BOUGHT 8 MORE PLANTS TODAY SO I CAN HAVE A HOLE ROW OF THEM.......... ONCE YOU SEE THIS VIDEO IT WILL MAKE SENSE! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!

PCC Interior Design program...

What a treat!!! The program chair of the design school at PCC asked me (along with others) to critique the final projects for the graduating class. I remember being in their exact position just 6 years ago and being so nervous!!! It was really fun to see all the very professional looking projects and give feedback!!!! It was also a total honor to be asked to participate!!! Thanks Amanda!!!!.....and congratulations and good luck to the graduating class!!!

So happy that my great horned puppies bloomed this morning. Such a cheerful yellow!!!! So cool to get to watch it in all these stages during one day. The shot of Stella us just cuz she's cute.
