Loving outdoor lighting.....

As you all know, I LOVE LOVE outdoor entertaining and everything that goes with it...(furniture, cocktails, fabric, cocktails, lighting...) so I have to share this line I carry at the shop that is AMAZING in the garden. The Not Neutral Lantern is an amazing addition to my garden because of the amazing light it gives off. This is not just another garden lantern, what makes it special is the candle stem that lifts out of the lanterns and allows you to light all 5 candles at once without having to reach inside and burn yourself. Also, since there are multiple candles on multiple levels, the light comes out the entire piece instead of just having one candle at the bottom.

Anyhoo....the pictures are below.......LOVELY! Should you happen to want on (or three) they come in black, white, yellow, lime green and black as well as 4 sizes. Look at that glow!!!! So cool!!!! Check them out below......

I have the largest size in orange siting on the edge of my deck and can be viewed from everywhere in the garden...DIVINE!

My opuntia is blooming!!!!

I brought this little lovely back from Intermountain Cactus in Salt Lake City, Utah. The flower is more orange than it looks in this photo. Truly stunning!!

Chinoiserie do-over

We have been working on a do-over for a client for the last few months. They went from an entirely peach interior to much more chic and colorful one. Here is some of the progress..... The upholstered pieces are all by Hickory Chair... Fabrics by Schumacher, Pindler and Duralee. Stay tuned for the finished product in a few weeks where we will post the before also. Huge change. HUGE!!!! I love my job!!!

More Jan Des Bouvries

Jan Des Bouvrie

I love love his work so I was thrilled to visit his studio/showroom/restaurant and complex "het aarsenal" in the charming village of Naarden today. Had a little lunch.... Lovely!!!

Last day in holland.

Started out by visiting this lovely little castle in the neighborhood. To bad for me that it was under renovation. Beautiful building and grounds!

End of day 3

So I decided I needed a little nostalgia this afternoon and drove south to the Eindhoven area where most oft family used to live. I went to my favorite chocolate shop and my favorite monastery to buy beer and glasses. Strangely enough there is a beer shop in Portland that actually carries this!!!
