Chinoiserie do-over
We have been working on a do-over for a client for the last few months. They went from an entirely peach interior to much more chic and colorful one. Here is some of the progress..... The upholstered pieces are all by Hickory Chair... Fabrics by Schumacher, Pindler and Duralee. Stay tuned for the finished product in a few weeks where we will post the before also. Huge change. HUGE!!!! I love my job!!!

More garden photos.....
I have been going into the garden every morning and this particular morning was a real treat! The first two photos are of my Spicata poppy - the most lovely shade of orange - tangerine-ish. The dew that collected on the tip of each leaf node blew me away..........then there was the Patty's Plum poppy backlit by the morning sun...so cool!
It is beautiful in PDX today.....have a great weekend!

Garden tour photos...
Look at the texture of this unbelievably beautiful eryngium planum. The color combo in the below photo with the Euphorbia Palustris is stunning! Lordy!
I have been lusting after Martagon Lilies lately and I just got Lily bulb - L. martagon x 'Claude Shride' and Lily Bulb - L. martagon x 'Orange Marmalade' from B & D Lilies at lilybulb.com all for my little self! YIPPEE!!! These plants in Victoria were amazing! The white one was super white!
I love the combination above with the Elderberry - it really picks up the stem color in the Martagon.......clever!
OK that's it.....just a few photos to share. Have a great day!

Sebright Hostas....
Today Miss Barbara and Miss Susan went to Sebright Hostas between Woodburn and Salem. You cannot imagine how many lovely plants there were. I bought more than my fair share. For some reason, the picture of the Captain Kirk hosta got turned upside down - I did not love the hosta, but I did love the name.
The icing on the cake of my day though were the 2 cypripedium or lady slipper orchids that they had there waiting for me. Do you have any idea how difficult these are to find???? I have literally been looking for 2 years so needles to day, I am overjoyed!!! Yippee!!!! Now if I can get my grubby little paws on a few more martagon lilies.........anyone know where I can get a few....red please!

HIGH POINT HERE WE COME......
At the edge of the downtown area in HP is this crazy 3 story high boy. Look at the building to the right of it for scale. Hilarious! It really is a furniture town! Monday, March 21, 2011

Time for a road trip.....
Mother Nature at it's worst...

I'm so sad for the people of Japan. The 11o'clock news last night showed the horrific images of the tsunami.....we just sat there with our mouths open. How can you even begin to understand it. I've never seen anything quite like it....the earth was liquid. So many thoughts and well wishes for the Japanese people.......
